Age of Learning Celebrates 2 Billion Learning Activities on ABCmouse
At Age of Learning, we recently celebrated the 6th anniversary of the launch of ABCmouse.com® Early Learning Academy in November 2010. Now I am pleased to announce that just a month later ABCmouse passed the milestone of 2,000,000,000 learning activities completed!
That 2 BILLION is an average of almost 200 learning activities each for the more than 10 million children who have enjoyed and learned from ABCmouse since it launched.
It also represents an enormous amount of real learning. Research shows that the more ABCmouse learning activities children complete, the greater the educational impact. That’s because every learning activity--whether it's a book, game, puzzle, video, or other activity--is designed to achieve specific curriculum objectives that contribute to a strong academic foundation for every child.
And the learning is accelerating at Age of Learning. We reached the milestone of one billion activities in a little less than 5 years, but it’s taken less than 18 months to reach the two-billion mark. We’re also accelerating our work to help educate children everywhere, including expanding our curriculum to higher grade levels; developing new products and services to serve schools in the U.S. and globally; and growing our Education Access Initiatives to provide ABCmouse at no cost to teachers and community institutions such as libraries, Head Start programs, and community centers.
